St. Dionysios Center

The Project

St. Demetrios, by the Grace of God and dedicated parishioners with a vision, was built in 1994. In the continuation of this vision and commitment to expand our existing fellowship hall, the parish leadership proposes a 2.3 million-capital campaign, which will expand our fellowship hall to create The St. Dionysios Community Center.

In 2000, St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church of Pittsburg merged with St. Demetrios. At that time, discussing the idea of building a community center made it a natural decision to dedicate the community center to St. Dionysios of Zakynthos for future generations to remember.

Today, we trust that idea/dream will become a reality.

St. Demetrios grew from a house into building our beloved church. Now we look ahead to fulfilling our growing needs within the church and community. At our General Assembly meeting on March 27, 2011, your parish leadership provided a vision of what The St. Dionysios Community Center will look like and how it will fulfill our current and future growth.
